Our Services & Programs

STAGE 1: INITIAL TRAINING EVALUATION

This is a process that will help an owner with a dog that is having some behavior issues. After assessing a dog in the owner’s home, a custom-made program of goals, training and homework plans are developed. The owner is the integral part of the dog’s education but other family members are welcome, even children.  The dog usually lasts for about an hour before it is fatigued mentally or physically from training. After that, the owner and trainer can continue to discuss training information. Generally speaking, an initial evaluation lasts between 1.5 - 2 hours.

Stage 2: Additional Training

This is any other training for a dog that has already been initially evaluated, whether it is in home or
out in public for training purposes.

Pack Walk

This is an activity that is great fun for an owner and their dog! After some instruction, see how well you and your dog can walk with a pack of dogs. Both of you will learn to communicate with 2-4 other pre-selected dogs, tailored to your dogs needs. These dogs will give you immediate feedback on how your leadership skills rate. While you are doing that, your dog will will learn many cues from the pack while draining its excess energy. The first walk will begin at the trainer’s home neighborhood but any future walks can take place at other locations to meet the needs of you and your dog.

Pack Walk with Socialization / Play

This is an experience for a dog to socialize with and learn from dogs of assorted breeds. Once a dog is screened by the trainer, the owner can drop off their dog and pick it up in two hours. Meanwhile, the dog will have a supervised pack walk followed by supervised and planned dog socialization in a fenced area with varying dogs selected by the trainer. Generally 2 - 4 dogs are present and all dogs play calmly while the owner’s dog uses or learns proper manners. Other options could include the owner being present and watching his dog depending on the dog’s personality. This is at the discretion of the trainer.

This is an experience for owners to receive expert dog training regardless of location. Issues such as (but not limited to) a dog pulling while walking on a leash, jumping on people, or having poor house manners can be addressed. A chat can last 1-2 hours and will include demos with the trainer’s dog(s). The owner will receive written materials and notes following the video chat.

Dog and Owner Boot Camp

Owners and their dog will plan to spend up to 4 hours per day for 4-5 consecutive days, working with the dog trainer to address issues that they are having. Experience has shown that this is more effective than doing a board and train since the owner is being trained as much as their dog!

Board and Train

Owners can board their dog for four days of training that is tailored to a dog’s issues. Owners drop their dog off on four different days in a two week period. Day One and Three will include you spending a few minutes going over the training for those days. Day Two and Four will have you spend time with the trainer to see video of your dog’s training. Then you will work with your dog —plan to spend about two hours. Fee includes all training tools and materials to keep both you and your dog successful once home.
